I bought this as soon as it was released and I have to say that I found it fascinating. The authors are regular guests on "OPRAH" and I enjoyed them so much that I bought the book after seeing their appearance. The fact that they show you in detail how the body takes in the food we eat and how it creates energy and nutrition is just good information. I wasn't really looking to lose weight but just to gain a better understanding of my body and the way it takes the fuel we give it and convert it to energy. I think the authors take a light-hearted and interesting approach to really breaking down the mechanics of how our bodies work and the ways we can tell if we're giving it what it needs to perform at it's peak.
I also learned where to make small changes in my diet to improve my overall sense of well being.
I recommend this to anyone. It's got enough practical information to be relevant to all of us.
This sounds educational. I hope it's useful too. There is so much conflicting advice out there for dieting that I don't know what to believe.
