Tony Buzan developed Mind Mapping as a technique to make the most of your mind. As one of the world's foremost authorities on the subjects of creativity, speed reading, and whole brain utilization, he has written numerous books, including the "Mind Map Book", "Speed Reading", and "Use Both Sides of Your Brain".
Mind Mapping helps in the taking and making of notes and assists in recording your thoughts in a non-linear, associative, and radiant fashion. Activities like preparing for presentations; taking notes about books you read; doing a situation analysis; studying any subject; and working with groups to come up with creative and innovative ideas will become faster, easier, and more fun when using Mind Mapping.
I've used Mind Mapping since I was introduced to it in the 1990s to take notes, prepare speeches and reports, and to brainstorm new ideas. The book introduces the reader to the technique as well as many practical examples of mind maps. I'm a huge fan of this method and as a result have introduced many people to it. The reaction of people after reading Tony Buzan's Mind Map Book typically is: "If only I knew about this when I was in high school or college."
