Ever heard the Chinese proverb, the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is today? Well its true and this couldn't be a more telling example of that. Being IN midlife, its exciting and inspiring to read about how you don't grow "old" you grow "better". I really like (and agree) with the idea that people continue to grow and mature in their minds throughout their lives. I am blessed to have the support group and network that she talks about in the book. For many people in healthy relationships, you grow to these conclusions in the book on your own, but for people who don't have those healthy relationships, you can really feel depressed. By always thinking, always growing, and throwing aside all the distractions in life, midlife really can be the best time of your life.
