I just had to have this book....I'm not a hippie but I want to do my part. The cool thing about this is, not only are these important for our environment, many of the tips are already things that are known to be healthy for you. Example, in the winter, turn off the heat at night. Strange eh? Well its said if you sleep in 68 degrees you not only dream more often, but you live LONGER! (Most homes are kept at 72). Each degree you move the thermo down equals a 3% savings in winter heating bills and carbon emissions. Another great example is using high efficiency light bulbs and such that save you money in the long run and save the environment. Win-Win solutions to a big problem. Great!
