Think Simple Now is a free weekly publication on clarity, simplicity, motivation and personal happiness. We give you simple steps towards personal wellbeing.
Your time is valuable. Our goal is to create practical and applicable articles aimed at making a positive contribution to your life, Now.
ThinkSimpleNow.com is a blog site that was never originally intended by the author to be read by anyone other than friends and family. It is now over a year old now and has over 200,000 readers every month. This is probably because the posts are so relevant to so many people. With categories (that can easily be found with the search feature) such as happiness, communication, creativity, and health, theres something for everyone who is trying to better themselves.
I love sites that are focused on motivation, I can use all I can get. I really like the tone of this blog, which sounds like a strange thing to say. A lot of sites like these have a ridiculously optimistic "sappy" feel. But this one has more practical, and that's a huge advantage in my book.
What really sets this site apart from the pack is the length and detail of the posts. This isn't quick filler. These posts go into great depth, and they're still very easy to read.
The only problem (if it can be called that) is that a lot of the advice is the most basic, and things that have been repeated constantly, such as the notion that you're the only thing standing in the way of your goals. However, I can still see that being useful. Many of us lose sight of these things, and not everyone has been there heard that.
How many times in life and at work do you make simple things complicated? Yeah? Me too. Sometimes the answer is right in front of our noses, but we decide to go ahead and think through every possible answer before making a decision. That is the fear in us speaking. By going with your gut and making as many bad decisions as possible...quickly, you can learn from mistakes faster and be a better decision maker later. Test takers have discovered that when they had a gut feeling to an answer, it is 80% right. But its the paranoia will distro-ya people who over analyze and all too often make the wrong decision. Great site for people who just need clarity in their lives. Really, just by thinking about the site (something different) you are likely to come up with the correct answer. Great idea!
A friend of mine sent me a link to “6 Ways to Be Positive in Any Situation,” a while back when I was having a tough week and I immediately took to both the article and site. I found the site altogether, uplifting and inspiring. Since then, I frequently visit TSN for useful tips and advice on clarity, communication and health. Think Simple Now truly inspires creativity and living a more simple and positive life.
This is a “happy” site. It is loaded with articles all related to making your life more fulfilling, in one way or another. Topics cover job/professional, relationships/communication and green living. Generally all focus on following your dreams.
In the job/professional category, many of the articles deal with finding a way to do what you love, for income. Success stories are shared. Articles on how to organize and prioritize your life abound, as well as motivational pieces. Since I am just getting back into writing on a regular basis, I found Jesse Hines article “Pen Zen: Bring Clarity to Writing”, to be helpful. With the current cultural obsession with blogging, I am sure many others would find it equally useful .
Personal issues such as relationship break-ups, resentment, intimacy and dealing with difficult people are deftly covered, by interesting articles.
The “green” section, currently only contains, one article. While it is an interesting one, I wouldn’t go to the site if that is your main reason for doing so. I’m sure there will be more to come, soon.
Check out the “Simply Tina” section, the photography is stunning. It is a sort of ongoing photo essay, and is worth stopping by.
