I recently stumbled on wise bread.com after doing a google search on frugal living. The title caught my eye so I decided to click on the link. It’s a great site full of tips, tricks and information anyone will find useful. For those that have already read several books on personal finance, the witty and delightful commentary along with the articles and tips is an excellent compliment to things you are already doing. One of the articles was funding your 401k when you’re in debt. It provided some great tips on things to do when times are tough. Many are facing mounting debt and still want to be able to save, it was a great article. With all the budgeting and personal finance information I come across, I try to take something from each. I really enjoy the perspectives from all the different authors and the fact that they tell you a little about each., which some sites don’t do. I haven’t tried the diy projects yet, but plan to once I have my list of projects cut down.
Becoming a new father a few years ago thrust me into the harsh reality that I could no longer be careless about money. My wife and I were now supporting a family. We had responsibility now and could no longer simply get by from month to month. We had to start thinking about the future and saving money. WiseBread is a great site because it shows you how to still enjoy your life, have fun, eat out, and treat yourself while still being responsible and saving money.
I always thought it was all about the Benjamins to be living large and the concept of living large on a small budget was simply unfathomable to me. That was until I found Wise Bread. The site is jammed packed with wonderful suggestions and advice to frugal living from spectacular DIY projects to information on career and income. It’s definitely where I go to get the skinny on the cheap thrills as well as tips on my personal finances.

The “Career and Income” section, has information on finding and keeping a job, what career is best for you and money making ideas, which are not related to the 9-5 working world.
