I was pretty young when the "Chicken Soup" series of books first came out in stores and started to become popular - perhaps an early teenager, or even preteen. I had actually read the original book, "Chicken Soup for the Soul," first before the book intended for teenagers came out. Even though I was much younger than needed for the original, I still found it helpful - and especially even moreso this book, as so many aspects of it applied to my life and my worries at the time.
I think that every teenager goes through those years wondering at least at some point if they're abnormal, or weird, or the only one experiencing the problems they're going through. This book is very kind and helps the reader in knowing that you definitely aren't alone in your struggles, and you're certainly not the first one to be feeling this way. As a teenager this was very comforting and reassuring to know!
I found this book so helpful that I lent it to my friend back then whose parents were going through a divorce. Teenagers certainly aren't the best at words (is anyone?) but my friend thanked me so many times for lending her the book. She borrowed it a number of times, and I bought her her own copy as a gift. She even ended up lending her copy to a number of our other friends, back then.
Needless to say this proves this is a helpful and well written book that many teenagers will find helpful, no matter what they are going through in life.
