All through my college years, my girlfriends were starting to go out with guys they met online. I can remember feeling worried and thought that was weird and being curious myself, but not nearly brave enough. They would all say how wonderful it was, as you could talk to the person for quite some time before you actually went on the date and it made the whole transition feel a lot more natural.
I continued to wait and one day while perusing the shelves of my favorite book store, this jumped out at me. I instantly grabbed it and dashed back to my house to peruse it's pages. I was surprised that it talked about dating in similar regards to how it is normally done but it demystifies the use of the internet as the meeting tool. I was thankful for the fact that it gives several different sites and different ways in which to approach the whole scene.
I've entertained several dates using the internet and even had one serious relationship blossom out of it. All thanks to this book that could absolve a sheltered girls' fears!
I jumped for joy when I saw this! I am a big fan of 'The Rules' it was recommended to me by my counselor. I have also met most of my boyfriends online so this is exciting! I am going to go out and pick up a copy of this for myself for Christmas! Just in time for my comeback on internet dating!
This book is definately helpful, when it comes to online dating. It's kind of a way of letting your guard down, but doing so slowly, because you don't want to get taken advantage of. There are a lot of good people online, I have life-long friends from online. I've had several relationships blossom out of it, and I even met my husband online. I know what it feels like to worry about someone else doing it. After you've tried it for yourself, it's not so bad, is it?
