I thought this book would be funny (with the clever, hip title and all) but instead I just found it to be really annoying. I can not for the life of me figure out why this book is so popular. The authors seem to be trying really hard to be cool, funny, and cutting edge. But, the reality is there is nothing new or innovative about any of these recipes. There is not any nutritional information listed either. Furthermore, the names of the recipes, again trying to be hip, just come off as stupid and annoying- Bitchtastic Brownies? As for the actual content, the recipes basically tell the readers to replace their food with vegan products. You do not need to buy the book as most vegans are fully aware that ordinary food can be replaced with vegan substitutes. Thankfully, I did not waste my money and checked this book out at the library first.
I thought this book was annoying also. Several girls at work raved about it and I still can't figure out what they were raving about. It is really odd there was no nutritional info in a diet book isn't it?!
I completely agree with your review. It was so irritating to read this book that I for my life cannot imagine sane people loving it.
You saved me from buying this book. The title caught my attention but from the sound of the review not a good reciepe book for someone trying to eat healthy. I will buy a regular cookbook because i am really not into vegan products.
