This is a well written, thought provoking book. It is a wonderful gift to yourself and for everyone you know who is old enough to read it. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. It will remind you that when we are in an experience the wider significance and possibilities of it often escape us. We rarely see how incidents that seem random to us are actually links in a chain that binds us to others, some of whom we know; some of whom we will never meet but who still deeply affect and are affected by our actions. This book is full of joy and humor. It is easy to and fun to read and packed with profound wisdom. It is a reminder that we are all connected and the ripple that goes out from our ever action touches many people in ways we will never know.

I saw the movie, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to read the book. But thank you! I think I will try, I can always use a good cry and I know the movie really moved me. And I totally know that books are better!

Wow! Nice review - I really liked the imagery of the ripple going out from our actions: we often don't know the unexpected ways we've touched people from our thoughtful actions.

That's a nice review. Makes me wonder who the 5 are and yet eager to meet them :-)
