You’ve seen her change lives on The Biggest Loser–why not yours?
Are you in good shape but struggling with those last ten to twenty pounds? Do you have an event on the calendar where you’d love to make jaws drop? Or do you just want to see what it would be like to have the best body you’ve ever had? Then you need to discover what millions who’ve seen Jillian’s training methods on The Biggest Loser already know!
What a great book! To say Jillian Michaels is motivational would be an understatement! She walks the walk and talks the talk. This book is designed for people with a little less weight to lose. She guides you through getting through that plateau and being in terrific shape.
A few exercises in this book seemed a bit more geared towards someone with gym access but I had very little problem figuring out how to do the exercises using the Total Gym, free weight or power bands. Where there is a will there is a way! Even if you can't do it all there is still plenty you can do! The point Jillian makes is to "just do it". Sure it isn't easy but how many good things are there that are?
I like the fact that all menus focus on real food. No fast food or special diet foods. I like the fact that Jillian emphasises that there are no short cuts. Just lots of hard work but the reward is the body you want!
Making the Cut: The 30-Day Diet and Fitness Plan for the Strongest, Sexiest You is a great book for anyone just beginning to realize their weight loss goals. In addition, people who are firmly grounded in a weight loss routine can benefit from this insightful, encouraging, and the relentless belief in you, the readers, ability to achieve and maintain your weight goals. Making the Cut: The 30-Day Diet and Fitness Plan for the Strongest, Sexiest You is a full immersion course in relieving your mind, body, and soul from excessive baggage threatening to render you incapacitated. I read this book in hopes to find Jillian’s same relentless dedication, shown to contestants on the Biggest Loser; guide me through the final yards of my weight loss goal. However, I must say I was greatly surprised to see the same dedication to the root of your weight problems and the state of mind that lead you to such a place where you could be so dissatisfied with yourself. There are great recipes in this book and a lot of helpful information. I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever liked anything about the way Jillian approaches the contestants of the Biggest Loser.
