Mitch Albom's book, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" was left on my bed by my father when I graduated college. "Read this," he told me. A few months later, I finally got to it. And since then, I've read this book probably 10 times.
It is a book about life lessons we all must know. Eddie (our main character) dies trying to save a girl and so we follow his journey to heaven. Each person Eddie meets has a name, but they can be switched out. It's all about the messages. Forgivness, sacrafice, love (and its many forms) and how we touch the lives of others all shine through in this amazing book.
I still wonder who the five people *I* will meet in heaven will be? What lessons do I still need to learn while here on earth? This book opens your mind, it opens your heart - it makes you feel human.
