I bought this book last Christmas for my nine year old daughter and we think it is great. It's like a little reference book for girl stuff- an encyclopedia of all the information that little girls (and big girls) should know! It's a beautifully designed book too, made with high quality paper and beautiful fonts that give it a sort of old-fashioned, mysterious feeling.

The thing I like most about this book is how it highlights why it's so much fun to be a girl! I know that children today are going to play video games, watch TV, and play on the computer. This book isn't going to stop that from happening. But, it does encourage girls to go outside and play- to catch fireflies and have secret hideouts with your friends.

I think this book should be a part of every girl's library- no matter their age!
