I think this book of Spencer Johnson to an extent was a disappointment. May be because of the high expectations set by his other book "Who moved my cheese".
Initially it felt it was a light read but the story has been dragged a little too much and not achieving the effect which the author probably tried to make with an elaborate story.
Story is woven around a old man with lots of wisdom watching and grooming a small child with stories around the present (gift). Authors fails to create the suspense he proabably wanted in the story and the one liner gists given are not all that good.
The take away is very simple - "The best present (gift) you can give yourself is the present (current)". Work now no matter what, no matter what the past has been and no matter what the future holds.
