You make time to spend with your spouse.  We call it Date Night.  It’s supposed to be special, one-on-one time just for the two of you.  But what about the kids?  True, it seems we’re doing things with them all the time – making their lunches, driving them to piano lessons and hockey practice, taking them to birthday parties, and helping with homework.

But kids need quality time too.  They need parents to take time with them alone, time to sit quietly, look them in the eyes, and listen to what they have to say.

Here are a few ideas for Parent-Kid dates and bonding:
· Go for hot cocoa and coffee
· Browse a bookstore together
· Take a walk in the woods
· Color or do a puzzle
· Read the same book and discuss
