Each day, randomly open this book to a couple of positive thoughts, and you’ll find that your outlook becomes a whole lot brighter!
This is a wonderful compilation of quotes and affirmations from some esteemed Hay House authors.
I bought this book thinking it was going to be alike an inspirational daily calendar, but it wasn't. The idea is to choose a random page when you need some uplifting. I've realized that you don't always have to read a full story or book to be inspired, but a simple quote can do the same job. Some of the quotes are from Wayne Dyer and John Gray, to list a couple. One of the best, I thought, was "How you treat people--whether it be an old friend or a teller at the bank--is indicative of how you can expect people to treat you." --Deepak Chopra, M.D. I felt uplifted by a lot of these quotes and stories and am sure you will, too. It's a great little "pick-me-up" to get you through the day. Highly recommended!
I first noticed of this book once when I was traveling to Oxford, so when I landed I run to buy this book, I read the book in just two days, it was amazing it´s suppose a big change on mi mind, I was a work obsessed and with this book discovered that there was many things than work, I have forget my stress since then.
I like how you get something positive to think about every day. It is a way to get your mind on the positive side of things every time your read it. I see people all the time who are focusing on the disappointments in their lives, but I firmly believe we can all benefit from looking at ways to make our lives better and enjoying the best things that are all around us. Each topic gives you something to mull over through the day or week and I use it like a discussion topic with my kids to help them focus on the joy in their lives, rather than constantly looking at what they don't like about their situation.
I received this book from an uncle after graduation. I use it for one of those "365 days a year book" every morning when I get up. I like it because every time you open it there is a different quote or saying to start the day off with. I'm the type person who can perceive/think about a short phrase or paragraph all day. Thats what I like about this book. There is little reading involved, which I like because I can't bring myself to read entire novels, so everyday is something new for me to read! I love it!
Every time I'm feeling a little blue about how my day is going, I just flip the book open and choose a random page, read the positive quote that page contains, and certainly it helps pick up my mood, perfect book, reading it is like having your best friend giving you cheers to go on, totally recommend it, also no need for you to be feeling blue when reading it, start your day reading a couple of it's pages and i promise your day will be awesome, perfect as a gift, a book to have in your desk while working, one of the best gifts I've received.
This book is chipper, easy to take with you and the perfect gift for anyone. It works well to have a few copies of it in your house in the event that a forgotten birthday comes up, or any other situation where there's a needed gift at a last minute.
It's fun, easy to thumb through and pick a saying here or there to read and instantly feel a bit lighter on your feet. I find it impossible not to smile when I am reading of this while I'm in a long line or on the phone with a frustrated customer, etc. It's words to live by, in the fact that a positive attitude is often all we need to get by. I find it a perfect tool to unwind and would recommend it for any woman's purse!
When I first heard of this book, I thought it was going to be more like a calendar with daily quotes. Then as I actually flipped through it I realized the intention was to just choose a page at random when you needed some inspiration. Sometimes you do not need to read a full book, or chapter to get some inspiration! A small quote can change your entire day around! This book although put out by Louise Hay, is a compilation of various inspirational writers. It is great to carry with you, in case you need that burst of confidence before a big meeting, before stepping on an airplane, or before meeting that special someone. There a quotes from John Gray, Deepak Choprah, and Wayne Dyer. One of my favorites, and one I truly believe many should live by is, "How you treat people--whether it be an old friend or a teller at the bank--is indicative of how you can expect people to treat you." --Deepak Chopra, M.D.
What I find amazing is when you actually open a page in this book, the quote really seems to hit on how you are feeling that day. I gave a copy of this book for a friend who was going to be laid up for several weeks after surgery. I told her each day, as she lay there, to open a page, and read a positive thought. I have spoken to her since the surgery, and her spirits are soaring!
