In this perennial bestseller, Seth challenges our assumptions about the nature of reality. He explains how the conscious mind directs unconscious activity and has at its command all the powers of the inner self. Included are excellent exercises for applying these theories to any life situation.
I have owned this book since 1985. It has truly made a difference in how I look at life in the 'you create your own reality' context. Although I recommend all of the Jane Roberts books, I found 'The Nature of Personal Reality', as the title implies, to reach deeper in how to apply the Seth concept in personal day-to-day living.
I was amazed when I first read the book as to how it mirrored how I had always felt about my relationship with
the world and my spiriuality but could never put it in to words. I read this book at least every five years for a refresher course.
It's hard to get used to the Seth books format which is written in an interview-dialog style but it is definately worth the attempt.
I recommend this book to anyone who asks- Is there more to life? How can I change my life to be more fulfilling?
The Nature of Personal Reality is a masterpiece… After 3 or 4 readings! The first time I read it, I wasn’t as impressed. In fact, I felt somewhat lost in the concept and didn’t get it because I wasn’t thinking through as I was reading, instead, I read it like a novel or some sort of quick read. After reading it again and absorbing the info, however, and truly understanding it, this is really a wonderful book.
It covers Jane Roberts’ many communications with entities called Seth, which were thoroughly documented by her husband. The book answers questions about life, the world and our personal realities on this planet among many other things. You truly get to know Seth and the wisdom in which they possess.
I highly recommend this book, but it isn’t to be read quickly. You really need to take your time and think about what you’re reading. You’ll come away with knowledge about what is truly out there that is invaluable, though you may also have more questions. It’s a book that truly makes you think.
Jane Roberts brought forward a huge body of knowledge by "channeling" information from a group of entities known as Seth. Their wisdom is profound. This book is dry but worth slogging through -- this is not a quick read. It's a book for the serious metaphysician or seeker. The ideas expounded in "The Nature of Personal Reality" will give you more than food for thought, you'll get the whole banquet!
If you are of the belief that there's a lot more going on here than we're aware of, then this is the book for you. It gives you a chance to peek behind the veil.
