Panic Anxiety is the number one mental health problem for women and second only to drug abuse among men. Synthetic tranquilizers can alleviate the symptoms of anxiety illnesses. However, in order to achieve lasting emotional tranquility, a significant lifestyle change must be made. The Anxiety Cure provides proven, natural strategies for overcoming panic disorder and finding an emotional balance in today's fast-paced world.
This is yet another book that promises a complete cure for anxiety. It provides “natural strategies for overcoming panic disorder.” But I was left sorely disappointed after reading this book. It merely regurgitated all of the tried and true coping techniques for anxiety, which are only coping techniques, not cures. The Anxiety Cure promises that instead of relying on tranquilizers for anxiety, you can rely on their techniques. The fallacy here is that their techniques only mask the problem, and don’t cure it, which results in the same problem as tranquilizers without the possibility of medical side effects. The book claims that the methods within have been proven, but I got the impression that that assertion wasn’t quite true. After all, no one in that book claimed that their symptom masking techniques got rid of their anxiety forever. The Anxiety Cure is full of temporary cures, but nothing that you can trust in the long term.
