I know that this is only one in the thousands of diet books that are out there, but this is one that I would recommend. This book is really good because, unlike some of the others, it explains the reasons for what you are doing and why it works. It also stresses that you should start out slow. If you are someone who wants to know all of the who, whats, wheres, whens and whys of ehat you are doing, this book is for you. You are not asked to try everything about your eating habits, it is more about adding raw foods into your diet. Because you aren't asked to give up carbs or calories or fats, this diet is not such a shock to your body. Even if you are skeptical, this book will make you a believer!

There are so many books out there about diet and especially detoxing. I was looking at it for a long time and I never really knew where to go with it. Some tell you to go all instantly at once, but didn't tell you why. I like it because this book provides exactly why you're doing it and how you should start out slow. For people that want to know as much information as possible about something before they do it, this is really amazing. In this book they're not asking you to change everything about you eat, but more focuses on how you can add raw foods into your lifestyle, which I feel, allows me it stick with it longer because it's not a total shock to my system. I've already lost 20lbs, so it's defiantly worth the price I paid, lol.

As a mother of a large family, I was looking for a way of eating that would help me keep weight off, and mostly, give me more energy and make me feel lighter. When I saw this book, it interested me, and I bought it. It turned out to be even more than I had hoped for.
The thing I liked the most about this book was that it gives several levels to use in putting this diet in place. Whether you are a processed food junkie who never eats raw food, or a vegan, there is a place for you in this book. You are not encouraged to go cold turkey into this diet, in fact, it is recommended that you don’t, so that your body does not go into overload and end up not being able to pass the waste of the Detox, thereby making your body more toxic than ever. You are urged to go slowly, and pick up the pace as you see welcome changes in your weight and the way you feel. I wasn’t personally interested in the enemas she talked a lot about, but I just skipped over that part.

By using the guidelines in this book, I found myself at a ‘level three’. At that level, you are instructed to eat raw foods through out the day, as much as you wish, until dinnertime. At dinnertime, you eat a cooked meal. This worked so well for me, as I was able to cook and eat with my family, who were not interested in this diet. This level was not hard, and in fact enjoyable, and I did see very good results.

Another nice thing is if I ‘fall off the wagon’ of eating this way for a while, it is very easy to resume the diet. It could be just a way of living that is very ‘doable’.
I would and have highly recommended this book. It is very interesting, easy and enjoyable to read.

My mom swears by this book and it does make sense. I tried following for a few days, but just missed processed food too much. I wish I could practice what this book preaches!

There are many important bits of knowledge in this book for those who are interested in going raw, or people who just want to understand what this whole "raw thing" is about. I gave this book to my father, a true meat-and-potatoes kind of dude, and he was definitely enlightened about how many nutrients are lost when we cook our food. He has now begun to incorporate more raw foods into his diet, and to date he is about 40% raw. Even at 40% he has seen some of the great benefits of eating raw food. A great gift for anyone you care about!

Human beings are herbivore mammals and our natural food should be raw vegetables and fruits like other herbivores. Most of us are aware of this fact but can't live without cooked spicy and oily food and I was one of them until I encountered with some health problem . As I was fond of fried food, there was an increase in my cholesterol level. Also I was a victim of hypertension. As per the advice of my physician friend I changed my food habit.Subsequently he gave me the book "The Raw Food Detox Diet" written by Natalia Rose to read and practice. Since then for the last one year I am holistically following the tips and advice given in the book and became a ardent raw food eater. To my surprise there is a drastic reduction in my bad cholesterol level and my blood pressure is also normal. My case may be a testimony to the writer's concept about raw food which says it is a powerful detoxifying agent that can cleanse your body and improves our immune system. According to me this is a great book written by an expert nutritionist for the benefit of man kind who have forgotten their nature of food.Looking at the increasing cost of medical treatments, it is better to avoid hospitals and the best way to do this is to follow The Raw Food Detox Diet. So I recommend one and all to buy this book.

Intriguing Information

I feed my pets a raw meat diet because I believe it to be the healthiest option available. It never occurred to me that maybe I should be doing the same for myself until I found this book in the bookstore.

It's intriguing, to say the least. I like that it goes over the differences in nutrition between food fresh out of the field, food at a farmer's market, and food on the grocery store shelves. As there have been studies that prove these figures, I was glad that THE RAW FOOD DETOX DIET included the information. So many books just skip over that part.

The idea of subsisting solely on raw food is interesting, but just not for me. I'll cook my veggies, thank you, even if it does leach out most of the nutrition.

Many people have a hard time with detox diets. It truly is hard to gear yourself up to start this diet, but once you do, you'll never go back. Cravings and yearnings for junk food subside, and you'll feel healthier and more energetic once you start this plan. The body responds to junk food by making you sluggish, and it will respond in turn to detoxing by giving you more energy. Detoxing is an excellent way to start a healthier way of living.

I've checked this out of the library about 6 times already. I'm going to have to buy it! It's an excellent resource whether one is new to raw foods or further along in their journey.

Natalie Rose's explanations for why raw is detoxifying as well as generally healthy are succinct and make a great deal of sense. The recipes are fantastic, too. I also appreciated that she doesn't present raw as an all or nothing proposition, but rather suggests different levels of raw depending on the individual.

This is one of the books that have helped me change my life with raw foods ... and the change has been for the better.

I checked this book out at the library after hearing so much about the benefits of eating a raw food diet. I followed the detox plan to a tee and definitely felt better after completing the process. Now, I try to eat at least one meal a day that consists only of raw foods. I feel better than I have in years! I have lost a few pounds, my complexion looks better, and I have more energy and stamina. There are some negatives about the detox process. If you are a caffeine drinker, expect some serious headaches! Also, I felt exhausted the second and third days of the detox, probably because my body was cleansing itself and using more energy as a result. Overall, this book can get you on the right path to a healthier way of life. I highly recommend this book to those interested in incorporating raw food meals into their diet.

I am a big believer in being "clean" from the inside out and this book is amazing for nailing that home. Facts like "fruits and veggies only keep 30% of their vitamins and helpful ingredients 24 hours after they are picked" are astonishing. A lot of people are cooking the nutrients out of their old food which makes for basically worthless food. By eating these raw foods to get rid of the toxins and inflammation, you really feel a difference in your mood, your energy level and every other aspect of your life. I especially liked the special raw recipes. The book tries to sell you on the idea based on what some celebrities are doing but I could care less. The medical aspect is good enough for me!

I found a copy of The Raw Food Detox Diet at a local used book store and it has revolutionized the way I feed my family.

If you are wondering what the Raw Food movement has to offer you and your loved ones, reading The Raw Food Detox Diet will give you an insight into the effects of modern processed foods and how our polluted environment is affecting our bodies.

Natalie Rose says, "The process of cleaning your cells is the magic formula for...restoring your body to "like new" or even "better than new" condition."

She is not kidding! My family and I are feeling healthier and happier than we have in years! We substituted raw foods for our regular lunches to start and have since moved to raw foods for both breakfast and lunch. I am still a stickler for warm cooked dinners, so there will be steak in my diet for a while, but we're thinking about the possibilities for hearty dinnertime meals and desserts from the raw food selection at our local green-grocer.

Thank you Ms. Rose for writing this wonderful book.

I can highly recommend buying The Raw Food Detox Diet.
You will not be disappointed.
