The Complete Fat Flush Program
This pack includes: The Fat Flush Plan, The Fat Flush Cookbook, and The Fat Flush Journal and Shopping Guide. The Fat Flush Plan is a program based on a smart combination of healthy essential fats, balanced proteins and quality carbohydrates arranged in a strict daily routine. Detoxifying the liver and cleansing the lymphatic system, the program increases metabolism while eliminating the appearance of cellulite. The Fat Flush Cookbook is a companion to the above, although it can also be used on its own. Not just another low-carb cookbook, it features over 200 recipes targeted for each phase of the program. These recipes contain the world's best fat-flushing foods, plus unique cleansing and metabolism-boosting herbs and spices (like ginger, cayenne, mustard, anise, fennel and cinnamon). The Fat Flush Journal and Shopping Guide provides readers with a convenient way of recording their daily and weekly progress in the Fat Flush diet, along with giving them helpful checklists to use while shopping for their favorite Fat Flush foods.
The Fat Flush Plan gets to the root of the problem. Most of us who have any age on us have more problems than that we are overweight. So going on either a low-fat diet or a low-carb diet isn't going to fix the problem. That's one of the reasons we have to keep losing the same weight over and over.
The Fat Flush plan is a wonderfully balanced diet, that will lower you blood sugar, cholesterol and clean the sludge out of your liver - as you lose weight. If you don't clean out your liver, you'll never be able to lose the weight.
You start out on the first phase with a 2-week fat flush. There is a sample menu for this. The Cranberry water is an acquired taste, but is definitely necessary and good for you.
There are also exercises with the menu plans . . . OK, I hate those, but . . . On phase 2 you have a more 'normal' diet. The food is good, and healthy. And you can slip this healthier diet in on your whole family without too many complaints.
Great book and fabulously healthy diet. You will feel the difference. I liked the 'Because You Asked' part of the book, cause there are lots of answers to the questions you're going to have as you read the book. If you're over 40 and need to lose weight, this is the best diet for your health.
This was just great! Not only is there a 30 day plan on flushing the fat out of your diet, there are some cool ways of keeping away hunger! Something I thought was really interesting was the fact that it from the time the stomach takes in food, it takes 20 minutes before it can even tell the body that its full because of the chemical reaction that happens when food is first introduced. Typically people don't eat food for more than 20 minutes unless you are at a restaurant, so even at the end of the meal you may feel slightly hungry, but its just the fact that your stomach hasn't released the chemicals to your brain to let you know that you're actually full. A tip is to eat a hand full of nuts 20 minutes before a meal in order for your stomach to tell your brain that you're full! Helps your fiber and helps your weight control!
I found the Fat Flush program interesting. I enjoyed the science in the book. However I tried the program for two weeks and found it quite hard in a few ways.
The author believes that detoxifying the liver and cleansing the lymphatic system are the way to slimness and health. She says one achieves this through a balance of healthy carbs, protein and healthy fats. She also wants us to use quite a few supplements and do quite a few cleanses.
I have no doubt the program can work but I personally had difficulty. I was hungry on the smaller than I'm used to protein portions, I found the supplementation a bit expensive and I hated the cran-water you are supposed to drink.
On a very positive note I did drop eight pounds in less than two weeks.
