Stationed in Iraq, it's not like you get to go out and meet women. When we finally get a break, it's comforting to find a sweet girl to talk to. I ran across this book, because I was extremely cautious about dating online. This book put me in a comfort zone enough, that I can actually get online and talk to different people. After talking to this wonderful girl for a year, she became my wife. Sounds crazy, but I owe it all to this book. It's amazing how a book can encourage you not to be scared to try something new. This book is for people who has phobias about talkng or meeting people online. You learn what to do and what not to do.

I was very frightened of online dating and i was so afraid to engage in it. But I saw my friends enjoying their days through online dating. Some thing was mysterious to me and I was afraid.

One day I went to a library with my friend to get him some book. I saw this book there and thought of trying it. So I hired it. This book made me very clear about the online dating. I lost my fear completely.

This book gave me very good tips, advice and gave the right awareness on online dating.

Now I got my gal who cares me a lot. I met her through online and now she is my world.

I have a very much respect on the author and his book.

One who has negative aspect on online dating must read this book because you are in the wrong path. Get in to the right path with the help of Mr. Right’s book.

I got this book from my mom after a few disastrous attempts at dating people I met online. I've found this book draws some pretty mixed reviews based on who's reading it. Women seem to truly enjoy it, I know I did. Men, on the other hand, seem to think it's manipulative. I think that it's not so much manipulative, as it is truthful. It's hard to judge a good relationship based on 40 e-mails, no phone calls, and no personal information. It's good to get to know someone, and once you do, to move further.

After my parents split up, my mother got really into the whole online dating thing. I kept telling her to be careful with it, and she kept assuring me that she knew what she was doing. She gave me this book and told me to go away. I used to be really skeptical about people online, because you don't know who to trust in this day and age. After reading this book, it helped me kind of let down my guard and get to know people in cyberspace. I'm proud to say that I met my husband on the internet a year ago, and we've been happily married after three months of dating over the internet. It sounds crazy to most people, but I am seriously the happiest I've ever been, and I feel like I owe part of it to my mom and this wonderful book. I would recommend this book to anyone that's the slightest bit curious about dating online or even just trying to get to know people. A few extra friends never hurt anyone!

As long as you are cautious in the Internet, I think it's a perfectly good way to meet people. This book offers some good points, tips and tricks but also some tricks - like playing hard to get - that strikes me as a little childish. Dating is difficult enough these days, and emotions and tone are difficult to read online - so why play hard to get? I think you could ruin a potentially good chance with someone that way. Sometimes the book sounds a little shallow, but I guess you have to just take it with a grain of salt. It's a decent read, but I wouldn't depend on it to find Mr. Right.

All through my college years, my girlfriends were starting to go out with guys they met online. I can remember feeling worried and thought that was weird and being curious myself, but not nearly brave enough. They would all say how wonderful it was, as you could talk to the person for quite some time before you actually went on the date and it made the whole transition feel a lot more natural.

I continued to wait and one day while perusing the shelves of my favorite book store, this jumped out at me. I instantly grabbed it and dashed back to my house to peruse it's pages. I was surprised that it talked about dating in similar regards to how it is normally done but it demystifies the use of the internet as the meeting tool. I was thankful for the fact that it gives several different sites and different ways in which to approach the whole scene.

I've entertained several dates using the internet and even had one serious relationship blossom out of it. All thanks to this book that could absolve a sheltered girls' fears!

Ellen seems to have been at the receiving end of both a good and a bad online dating relationship. She sounds as one speaking from experience.
1st things first. I do not like online dating. I am all for online casual chatting or email friends but never ever would I recommend meeting someone who you met online on a chat channel or worse via a spam mail !
Having said that, the book does mention safety tips for all those internet crazy teenagers out there and tells them while it is COOL to go online.. it is not so cool to meet your online date in a dark new york alley.. that is a big no-no ..
A good book for parents to give to their teenage children and make them more aware of the consequences of online dating while at the same time appear to be 'with-it' and not living in pre-historic ages (my son thinks so of me!)

My wife actually bought this book because my daughter is dating a man from the Internet. While I was skeptical and afraid the guy was probably a masked murderer this book helped me see a more rounded view of Internet dating. I still think it is a secondary action to take for potential daters as as the author does point out that there is still some risk of dating Internet people. I thought the book rambled at times and felt, honestly a little like it was marketing some websites to me, but I am happy this book is out there and available for women like my daughter to read. (It can help her keep her safe!) I think Ellen's tips for new online daters are a must for young girls, maybe even teach it in high school who knows.

I read this book because as a parent we want our children to be safe. I am a 39 year old mother who met my husband through a friend. Internet dating that that time was extremely rare if not non-existant because the computer craze hadn't really caught on.

The dangers of dating via on line has the potential to be very dangerous as well as turning out well. But, the line is separated by how vigilent both the dater and datee are. There is the potential on both sides for lies and desception.

This book brings to light the dangers, the tips and knowledge needed to stay safe and have a good experience and maybe even meet that life partner.

I highly recommend this book to not just the dating participants, but to parents as well.

Many women are relying now on dating in cyberspace but it isn't always so simple. Deception occurs and feelings sometimes are played with. The Rules for Online Dating: Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right in Cyperspace helps women with rules. The book is very interesting and among its good subjects you'll even find advice on choosing screen names that are appealing and still gets you respect and attention. Fein helps every woman dating in cyberspace, date with ease and by following rules, you could perhaps find a healthly mate. It repeats some of the common sense tips but still makes a good read for someone new to cyber dating. You have a guide for buying cars, for cooking, etc. so now there's a guide for dating online! I'd recommend this for those who have not dated in ages either in person or online.
