In Loving What Is, bestselling author Byron Katie introduced thousands of people to her simple and profound method of finding happiness through questioning the mind. Now, I Need Your Love—Is That True? examines a universal, age-old source of anxiety: our relationships with others. In this groundbreaking book, Katie helps you question everything you have been taught to do to gain love and approval. In doing this, you discover how to find genuine love and connection.
The usual advice offered in self-help books and reinforced by our culture advocates a stressful, all-consuming quest for love and approval. We are advised to learn self-marketing and manipulative skills—how to attract, impress, seduce, and often pretend to be something we aren’t. This approach doesn’t work. It leaves millions of walking wounded—those who, having failed to find love or appreciation, blame themselves and conclude that they are unworthy of love.
I would definitely recommend this book to any one who seeks real love in life. Katie has completely changed my views on winning in love. It is true that I was with the views that I should attract my man with my beauty, impress him with my love and seduce him totally with my care for him.
In my real life it started to work well in the early period. Later on my techniques did not work much. As Katie rightly points out in her book these are old techniques that have become out fashioned to the present environment. I began to question everything after reading her book. Then I discovered the real love in my life.
This book really enlightened me with a new approach towards love. No wonder her book helped millions of people to find genuine relationships and happiness in their lives. This is something like thinking out of the box technique that really works. It worked for me very well. If you read this book, I’m sure her tips will work for you as well. Best wishes for a happy and healthy relationships.
This is really an enlightening book about love. It will make you question all preconceived notions you have about what love should be. It is a really good book to help you understand how to make love work in your relationships. I really enjoyed this book.
If you've never been one to question yourself and your decisions, after reading I Need Your Love-Is That True will have you analyzing those things and more. I picked up this book because it always seems as if I am the one left hurt in relationships and while not expecting anything other than a good read, this book pointed out to me how we often open ourselves up to be victims of people who are manipulative and sabatogical and provided many easy techniques to cease from becoming a magnet to those types of people. This book is very opening and confronting but with compassion teaches you some helpful life skills. I would definitely recommend it to others but prepared to face a harsh reality of questioning others and your choices in the future.
