Affirmations by Stuart Wilde, is not just a collection of nice words to say to yourself, but serves as a magnificent battle-plan, where you learn to expand the power you already have in order to win back absolute control of your life.
I have quite a few of Stuart Wilde’s books. Affirmations is truly my favorite. Dog eared and well-travelled, my little edition is opened on a daily basis, for the nuggets of spiritual wisdom help me remember that life is good, and that no matter what is going on around me I need to keep my positive attitude, retain my high vibrating energy, feel grateful … and get on with it! Much like the author’s other books, Wilde takes into account the generous laws of the universe and applies it to bite size insights and short but profound conversations along with his own life experiences and how he has used and digested them. Although many of Stuart Wilde’s books are deeper and the spiritual ideas carried out further, that is not the case here. Just the like the title itself, this book declares small truths; information you can read at a glance at then go out into the world feeling empowered, feeling just a little bit more “armed” with positive insight as your ammunition.
The only issue i have with this book is that it is not long enough. i have gone over it and over it many times to remind me to think of myself in a positive way. i am a huge believer is positive affirmations. i have a database of probably 100 pages of positive affirmations and many books that i use frequently. when i'm feeling down or when i want to accomplish something that i have doubts about, i pull out this book along with many others and my database and just start reading. the "light" can be any positive thing to you like God, "going into the light", or any other great feeling you have. One of my favorites said by Henry Ford is "If you think you can or you think you can't, either way, you're probably right". This book encompasses the correct way to think about yourself in the world.
