Kevin Trudeau blows the lid off a nest of deception and double standards concerning general and individual health in this new book, Natural Cures 'They' Don't Want You To Know About. Kevin has risked government prosecution to bring you the full story of an intricate conspiracy.
From the retail supermarket outlets of huge, publicly traded corporations comes processed, manipulated, engineered "food products" produced by other wings of the same corporation. These artificial, toxic treats are then sold with the blessings of the Federal Trade Commission and Food and Drug Administration government organizations charged with safeguarding the public good laying the foundations for future disease and chronic ill-health for the consumer, and a guaranteed source of revenue for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Kevin reveals the shocking truth of how drugs which are being advertised directly to the consumer, pushing their use to an all-time high are actually the cause of illness and disease climbing to near epidemic levels.
And, though it sounds dire, Kevin offers a light in the darkness and directs the reader to scores and scores of alternative therapies, medical practices, philosophies and most importantly potential cures that help your body regain its natural state of health and vibrancy.
So follow Kevin on an amazing journey through the behind-the-scenes world of corporate sponsored "nutrition" and "health," and learn about Natural Cures 'They' Don't Want You To Know About.
I have read several of Trudeau's books and found some helpful information in each one - although there is always quite a bit of reading to uncover a few tips that are helpful. This book is not the best out there regarding natural methods of taking care of your health.
Homeopathy is one of the main subjects of the book and I think you will find books that stick more to the point at your local library or healthfood store.
Trudeau has quite a vendetta against the US government and the regulatory systems we have in place. While I agree that there is helpful information out there that is not getting widely spread, I also think we need the government keeping tabs on claims made - especially in the area of health and wellness.
Thought that Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You to Know About had some good information but not enough. I'm glad I did not pay full price for Kevin Trudeau's book! $10 was plenty for something that ended up in the box to go to the Salvation Army store!
I agreed with him on eating natural organic foods if you can. However many of us can't afford that. I also agreed with him on taking supplements. However if I took as many supplements as Kevin Trudeau recommends there would be no room left in my belly or budget for actual food!
Some of the things he recommended were so far out there in my opinion! Things such as staying away from electrical appliances and power lines. That doesn't seem to easy!
Also you didn't get the full "cure" in the book. Kevin Trudeau repeatedly says ~"the information cannot be printed in the book" because he says the USA government will prosecute him. Kevin Trudeau advises you to visit his website for the full cure. Oh guess what? The monthly membership to view the full cure protocol will cost you more of your hard earned cash. Seems like a rip off to me personally.
If you were to follow the advice of this book, life would be nothing but a series of tasks undertaken to keep yourself alive, with no room for actual living. I was expecting more of an indictment against the pharmaceutical business. I got little of that, and a whole lot of alarm.
The first thing that bothered me was that the author claimed to have taken some sort of magic pill in a faraway land that fixed his congenital heart defect (mitral valve prolapse). As someone who has MVP, I find is very hard to believe that a defect in the physical structure of the heart was cured by simply ingesting something.
The rest of the book is filled with plans for living the rest of your life as healthy (and expensively, and time-consumingly) as possible. Everything from drinking only oxygenated water (made by an expensive setup you'll have to buy), to regular enemas, to scrutinizing every tiny bit of food and drink you put into your body.
In the end, I felt bad for the author, who is obviously so afraid that he's essentially cocooned himself against life. I can't see much of this being practical for anyone.
Kevin Trudeau is good at researching and collecting information, but that's about it. This book is nothing but a compilation of theories, how-to's and alternative remedies that Mr. Trudeau has found out about from research.
About 95% of the tidbits give you another book to buy or the URL of another web site to visit "for more information." And this always involves you paying more money to get the complete scoop on this piece of health advice.
On the plus side, it is a pretty thorough collection of information and it's a good resource to have when you're curious about a natural or alternative treatment and want to know where to go to find out more about it. But I think that the title and description of the book is misleading and makes me wonder how much additional money Mr. Trudeau is getting for plugging the various books and online retailers in his book.
The same friend that suggested I read the weight loss book by Kevin let me borrow this one. It took me three days to sift through this book, and I did my homework while I did. I spent time on the internet, researching Kevin's claims to be able to cure various maladies and diseases and I found supporting evidence in copious amounts against his methods.
"Wow, I thought", this must be the ever present "they" that Kevin refers to.
As a cancer survivor, I am going to caution anyone and everyone against taking these methods to heart without consulting a doctor that you know and trust. Respected physicians worth their weight in salt won't give these methods even a grain of it! It scares me to think that people are using these recommendations and foregoing some of the health care options that will help them.
Kevin needs to show me case studies before I'll ever "show him the money" and purchase one of his books. I'll borrow them from now on.
Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You to Know About comes across as a truth to the myth that you can cure yourself from most illnesses the natural way, but turns out to be a false representation of the ease in which you can do it. There are many things in the book you can do at home, but most of the suggestions include radical detoxification plans and strenuous changes that cannot always be handled properly at home. Tredeau himself had to go to a European retreat to complete what he tells us the reader to do. Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You to know About is only truly useful to the extreme health fanatic or the cost conscious consumer who can find it at a discount or rent it. Please be aware of the risks you take when you go to eating extreme’s to radically change the condition of anything concerning your body and health.
I got this book after listening to the infomercial and after being told by a family member that this was such a great book. I may have expected too much, but I was very disappointed with it.
Like an infomercial, the book gave lots of statements with very little to grab on to. Each major topic made claims and then gave references where you could mail or call or go online to get the details.
When I did go online, I found they wanted a monthly membership fee at Trudeau's site as well as at many of the other reference sites. Seems they were either selling their newsletter or a book of some kind.
I did not get much new information from the book itself.
One of the things I did do was to buy the secret recipe for Hunta Bread. I made it and ate it faithfully and instead of loosing weight - I gained weight! I bought lots of health food products that didn't really work either.
My advice is not to waste your money on this book. There are lots of other books out there that have ideas that do work.
Sometimes, I'm glad that I only buy books second hand. I don't know what I would've done with myself if I'd paid full price for this book.
So here's the good. There's a LOT of information packed into NATURAL CURES "THEY" DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT. Seriously, tons of it.
The problem is, it's mostly information you already know, especially if you're interested in homeopathy. I suppose it's useful if you don't have any other general homeopathy books lying around.
But, really. If you already have some, give this one a path. You won't find anything new. It's all the old information repackaged in a shiny pop medicine guru package.
Another library sale find. I have been aware for a long time of the reputation of Kevin. I read this book because I have some knowledge of Natural Cures, and I wanted to see if his ideas were right on or off the wall.
I was impressed with the vast knowledge that Kevin put into this book, but he also gives the false impression that if "you follow this, you will always be healthy...this is so not true and I could see where this could give a person false hope if they have a terminal illness.
I feel this could be a good resource, but it makes me feel this is more for money then helping the general public.
I recommend this book tentively as an available resource.
I bought this book off of ebay after reading through message board posts on Myspace where people were arguing whether this book was good or not. I decided to read it for myself and decide what I think. I thought there was a vast amount of valuable information in there, not just common everyday things that people already know. Kevin Trudeau explained various treatments that are natural that I had never heard of, as well as explained why you should be concerned about using traditional medicinal cures. I have to admit though there is almost too much information in there, so it didn't keep my interest enough to read through it all. However, I keep it handy as a reference tool and periodically will skim through and read the specific pieces pertaining to what I currently want to know about. He says you will never get sick again if you follow all these rules. I don't believe that, but i do think that if you follow as much of them as possible it is definitely going to improve your health a lot!
I did not know until after I read this book that Kevin Trudeau was in infomercials. So I read this book with an open mind. I probably would not have bought it if I knew he was an infomercial guy because I am skeptical.
I discovered this book while browsing at the bookstore and could not put it down. This book is packed with information about nutrition, diet, exercise and more. Unfortunately, most of the information is in little snippets and paragraphs, requiring the reader to do more research on their own. That's not a bad thing, just don't expect to be able to pick up the book and read it cover to cover.
Even though I have considerable knowledge about "natural" health topics, I did learn a few new things. Following Kevin's advice, I added more raw foods to my diet and I feel fabulous.
I took off a star because the book itself looks cheap. It's not a book I would feel comfortable giving as a gift.
I came across “Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You to Know About” at Barnes & Nobles one day and WOW, am I glad I bought it! Kevin Trudeau really does expose the secrets behind many of our country’s government run companies; the drug companies, food & drug administration, health insurance companies, etc. I am not into anti-government theories at all so it took a lot for this book to convince me, but a few pages in and I was hooked! Kevin's story is truly captivating! This book is also great for those just wanting to learn about organic eating, vitamins, supplements, and an overall healthy lifestyle. I have learned about many health related practices as a result of this book as well such as magnetic therapy, homeopathic medicine, and even acupuncture. I have recommended this book to everyone I know and suggest you take a look too!
I'm always wary of anything sold on the television during the wee hours of morning, but I took the bait and read this book. He doesn't give you any real "cures" and he just refers the reader to try more homeopathic remedies. This is advice that I could have easily gotten off of the internet for free. Although I do think that there is some truth to the conspiracy theories in his book, I really feel Kevin himself is conspiring to take everyone's money for a book of falsehood and accusations. I do not recommend this book.
As a natural health care provider with over 20 years in the field, I thought it was about time someone wrote a book like this. I found the information in this book very valuable. I recommend it to my patients to read. I give them this warning - Kevin sounds a little crazy with all these conspiracy theories, but the truth is big pharma is very powerful and in bed with the government.
It's in everyone's best interest to be well informed about the basis of good health and how to achieve this good health with out drugs. Natural cures really do work most of the time and can make a huge difference in your life. Kevin tells you what to focus on, the rest is up to you. Sift through the conspiracy stuff, and focus on the information about toxins, pH, and natural health. It's good information.
This book offers new insight and perspective on many things that go on around you, it will make you question your current beliefs on the modern health care system in a bad way. The information here is pretty bizarre and difficult to follow, however, this is actually a small portion of the book as a lot of it is dedicated to anti-government propaganda. It also seems like things are way over hyped in the book and it gives off the kind of vibe as if you were listening to conspiracy theorists talking. In a nutshell, this book criticizes modern medicine and government but no real basis is given for it but it is an obvious fact that modern medicine has helped an uncountable number of people. He also mentions "cures" in the title however in the book there is no cures. It soon becomes obvious to the logical mind that the author has had his share of problems with the government. A lot of the claims made in the book are misleading and there is no scientific proof behind any remarks in the book. I would highly NOT recommend.
As a person studying alternative medicines, I found this book to be useful in the knowledge that I gained from it. The "toxins" that are put into our bodies everyday, (which are described in this book) makes you take a long look at the food industry. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their health.
