After listening to a few different people hype about Mr. Trudeau and his miracle cures and things, I figured I'd give it a shot. I actually caught an infomercial with him the night before I opened this book to read, and nearly didn't even open it. Most of the infomercial was related to how serious diseases (cancer, fibromyalgia, etc) are all in your head, leading me to wonder if perhaps his book said being heavy is all in your head. The book almost does tell you its all in your head, explaining to you all about how we need to take charge and control our own diets. And essentially live on a commune, eat only things we grow, and never eat on the run. Or, that being out, everything organic. I don't know where Mr. Trudeau shops, but organic foods are NOT cheap. I eat very healthy for being on food stamps, but if I wanted to eat all organic, I would have to triple my food stamps! The books information is good, for basic, just... ridiculous to try and do. It all boils down to the same thing every other book says- eat right. Which I think I can do without wasting my money on this book.

Even though I managed to get this book out from the library, thus saving the expense of buying it myself, there is no way I could afford the actual cost of following Trudeau’s diet day to day. The basic premise of the book is that ‘they’ (they being the government, the drug companies—pretty much anyone not Mr. Trudeau or an organic farmer) are keeping you from knowing that you can take control of your own life and lose weight. But don’t fear, Trudeau’s here, and he’ll tell you the secrets they’re keeping hidden.

Well, the secrets aren’t really secret. Turns out an all-organic, low calorie diet with lots of exercise will help you lose weight. Tell us something we didn’t know. In addition to this bit of obvious advice, Trudeau recommends daily shots of ‘HCG’ and ten thousand (I’m exaggerating, but only slightly) vitamin supplements. It’s just not something most people can practically afford. Unfortunately, according to the book, it’s either all or nothing- and for most people, that will be nothing. I think you’d be better off finding a practical, well-balanced guide to eating well and exercising regularly. Use the money you’ll save on ‘The Weight Loss Cure’s’ vitamins and put it toward eating organic. Better for everyone.

It's no wonder that Kevin spends the majority of his time doing infomercials, because I just don't think his charisma can translate into written form. Truth be told, it probably shouldn't.

I bought this book because of the "hype" I'd heard about it. I have a friend that takes telemarketing orders for a living and she said people were calling for this one like hot cakes. I'm sad to say they'd be better off buying hot cakes than this book.

I felt like the entire book was written in a manner of being a really big pill that Kevin was trying to get me to swallow. Injections, lies and misconception laid on me by the drug companies....things that every holistic medical "expert" says, but on steroids. Kevin went a little too far to the right on this one, and this pill is too big for this consumer to swallow.

While the jury might still be out on the long term effects of Kevin's health care system, I think I'll stick to organic vegetables and multi-vitamins right now.

Anything said about The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You to Know About is lost when you consider the lengths you will have to go through to achieve anything relevant to what he suggests you can obtain. It is unrealistic for Kevin Trudeau to try to sell this to everyday working people knowing the price constraints their under. When I listened to Trudeau talk, before I purchased the book, I thought that his ideas where something anyone could do to achieve their desired weight. However, I realized upon purchasing The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You to Know About, that it would be imposable to follow the rigid course to his definition of a great weight loss strategy on a budget. I would not recommend this to anyone who uses more than eighty-five percent of their weekly check. A good old fashion routine of healthy eating and proper exercise will do just fine.

I think there are some good ideas in this book however you need lots of time and lots of cash to follow his plan 100%.
I think the idea of rigorous exercise and a 100% organic diet are great. However many people can't afford a 100% organic diet.Certain people can't do the amount of exercise required. According to Kevin if you don't use 100% organic foods the plan will fail!

Kevin also wants us to take shots of "HCG". This is not easily available in the USA. Also the diet plan while on the "HCG" is about 500 calories a day!!!! Kevin also recommends MANY supplements. Want to pop 20 vitamins a day???

I wish I would have saved the money I spent on Kevin 's book!

I read this book "cover to cover" as recommended in the introduction. It was good reading and had some tips that may help you lose weight.
I found the whole concept interesting - that there is a cure out there that is being kept a semi-secret by various government/business entities. The premise is that you can reset your body's messed up metabolism & set point through diet and a precise regiment of supplements and teas.
Here is the downside: It takes about 1/2 the book before the cure is revealed and when it is revealed, it requires a doctor's prescription for daily injections. I think it might work, but I do not have access to that kind of medical help in this area.
There are some other options that take longer with lower results, so that may be of some help. Most of the cure revolves around a complete restructuring of your eating habits to 100% organic and natural foods - which is obviously a great idea... but not so easy to do. I am hoping a partial change in this area will net significant results. I think someone with access to the doctor/injections has a great chance.
