Reviews of: Having It All: Achieving Your Life's Goals and Dreams
I think this book is one of the best self-improvement books I have ever read in my life.People would be more interested to listen to you when you are sharing your own life experiences. John Assaraf is yet another example of rags to the riches type of life. That is why he is called as “street boy”
He has discussed about seven powerful techniques to help you get all that you desire in life. He emphasizes how important is to dream about your future. These seven techniques are what the highly successful people used in their lives to achieve. You have to first decide what exactly you want in life.
Then you should work hard with determination to get what you wanted. This book can motivate you to achieve something in life and can boost your self-confidence. This book truly inspired me a lot and helped me to improve my life to some extent. I strongly recommend this book to any one looking for success in life.
Puts life into perspective and makes you realize that you should slow down and evaluate what is important to you. Life is too precious to waste on doing things that don't fulfil you!
This book is what not only gave me the confidence to get my life started, but the will. It gives you details on how to achieve your goals and make every wish come true. It also puts it in your head, that there is no room for failure. This book is a great read. If people are looking for something to give them that 'go, go, go' mentality, this is definately the book for you. You'll have the attitude, the job, the money. You'll have it all. This book stands by it's guarantee to take from where you are to where you want to be, it's all just up to you. I had no ambition to do anything with my life, and I always thought someone would be there to take care of me. I was discouraged, because I had no idea what to do with my life, much less what to do with it. After reading this book, it inspired me to change my life. It inspired me to get up and get the job done, no matter what it takes. And, it paid off in the long run.
I admit, I mostly read books like HAVING IT ALL for kicks. I find them somewhat amusing.
This one presented it so seriously, I couldn't help but laugh throughout it. As a self-help book, though, I don't think it was all that good.
The main problem was that it presented a lot of ideas -- as most self-help books of the get-rich-quick type do -- but nothing for you to actually do. The "seven habits" HAVING IT ALL presents are basically all variations on "Expect to get rich and you will!"
Really, if you've read any other get-rich-quick book, then there's no need to read this one.
Experience is a treasure in life and if that experience is brought out in the form of a book then that book itself will become the precious treasure and those people who can enjoy this treasure are the luckiest ones. Here is a treasure in the form of book "Having It All: Achieving Your Life's Goals and Dreams", written by John Assaraf through his life experience which is a great work because of its ability to change your life. I thought I was a satisfied person with whatever I was having in my life but fortunately I got a chance to read this book.It was a great experience to read this book and made me to rethink about my life concept.Reading this book is a turning point in my life. After reading the book, my myth about satisfactory life disappeared and hidden dreams started coming out.I applied his 7 principles used by sucessful persons in my life and to my surprise I could covert some of my dreams into reality. According to John, dream may be regarding anything , but realizing that dream is important so that you can lead a happy life. I firmly believe this book will at least awaken you from sleep and make you think about your dreams. I recommend this for those people who are acting as if they are self satisfied by hiding their ambition.
Why do most people shy from having it all? Why is there an innate fear in us that something will go wrong if we get all that we deserve? Though I generalize, I know these thoughts of mine reflect in the majority. Till they read Assaraf.
I first heard of this man when I read The Secret, to which he is a contributor. I thought the whole Secret stuff was one big scam... who are all these guys and what makes them so 'attractive'. But if you are like me, probing further will make you have it all.
There are laws... Principles they do not teach you at school. And that's what you get from here. Go for it!
This book really helped to put this fast-paced life of mine into perspective. It really helps to show individuals what is really important in life, and what is just another part of life. Some of the most "important" things in life such as money, wealth, prestige, etc. can become nothing more than a gust of wind while reading this book. I learned to take advantage of every day, and time spent with family and loved ones, because we all don't have that much time on this earth. Although this is not geared toward Christianity, it helped to strengthen my faith and help me prepare for my life in heaven after this life on earth. I started reading the Bible more often, and really looked into what makes me ultimately happy, and distinguished these things among the simple, short "highs" you get from getting money, pride, etc. This book is the missing link between where you stand and what you see yourself as in your happiest state.
I gave up my comfortable life about 7 years ago to just go with my heart. It was 9/11 and I said life was too short to do something I hate. When you do things that make you happy, you make more money- OR you are so happy you don't mind how much money you make. So I am really happy with this book because it plants seeds in your heart about what you dreamt about when you were young. Its so refreshing to remember and believe in dreams again. So many people become potatoes and just do what government or society tells us. This book will wake you up, make you think, and help you accomplish your dreams. I buy everything he writes.
