Completely revised and updated for the realities of today's world, The Road to Wealth is Suze Orman's most authoritative and accessible resource for every stage of your financial life.
Millions of readers have embraced Suze Orman's New York TimesThe Road to Wealth
since it was originally published in 2001. But the world has changed vastly since then, and it's more important than ever for readers to have access to accurate and practical answers to every question they have about their financial futures-questions Suze answers in The Road to Wealth. The Road to Wealth is one of my favorites by Suze Orman. Don’t let the size of it scare you as it is extremely big but the format makes it easy to manage as it is written in a question and answer format. It is a comprehensive book full of information not only for the beginner, but those already experienced in personal finances. The language makes it clear to understand without confusing those with little experience to financial terms. She gives great advice not only on how to build wealth, how to eliminate debt, pay for college, even those starting out a family. If you have read her books before, then some of the information will be familiar to you, but it does have new information that is up to date compared to her earlier books. She provides the question and answer format that makes it easier to look up information and process what needs to be done in order to create wealth. I do recommend this book as it is a much easier read then other financial books on debt reduction and wealth creation.
I like Suze Orman. She's straightforward, informed, and tells you what you need to know. This book is no exception to her general solid offerings.
While the title may be a little misleading- bringing the reader an image of a step by step plan to financial health- this volume is more reference book than anything else, with individual chapters that comprehensively cover many different aspects of one's financial 'big picture'. For example, beginners may want to start with reading the chapter on that quintessential American problem- managing debt. But for those who are in a better place, they may be able to skip ahead to information on investing- stocks, mutual funds, bonds- they’re all covered. If you’re just starting a family, there’s information on life insurance, and saving for college. If you’re further along in life, you can read up on retirement. There’s something for everyone!
Easy to understand, yet never dumbed down, this is a reference book everyone should own if they're serious about taking control of their finances.
