Great motivational book. I really enjoyed reading because it gave insights to just about anything one could succeed at. I liked the message of, "if you can't do it, teach it," that this book portrayed. Through this attitude, the novel explains that nothing is impossible, and that everything is achievable. This would be a great book for anyone wanting to start a home business, teach a subject, or someone just looking for motivation.

Maxwell writes LOTS of books and bucks the trend of "If you can't do it, then teach it". He has proven over and over in this book how his 43 years of leadership experience has taught him these 21 laws. I'm happy to say I have learned 7 by heart and hope to implement them all by the end of next year.

Its by taking the little steps now to becoming a great manager that makes you great. Do you want to be known for doing great things the book asks? It starts with thinking of great things, living great things, and treating people greatly. Awesome advice that isn't skin deep, he expands on it and we all benefit from it.

I can honestly say that this book was a little useful to me. I learned something new about being a leader and also about what to look for and expect from someone who is leading me. I now keep tagging people as 1 or 4 or 7 based on how I think they lead. I am myself a 8 but that is more helpful when you have read this book.

John Maxwell leads you on a wonderful reading expedition all the while making an excellent point - 1-10 is not a rating. It is all about how different people are and how they lead differently. His decades of experience shows from every chapter of the book and though I have read tons of books on management and leadership, there were things in here which were nice to know. Good work John and happy reading to all who decide to go for this book.

Whether you are a manager, father, or little league coach and want to be a better leader this is for you. Mr Maxwell lays out some fairly simple laws for leading people and understanding what's best for them. Some of his laws at first don't make sense such as as if your a 10 you will find it hard to lead a 1 (read and you'll get it), but you can lead an 8 or 9 easily. He explains them and you soon start to understand why people mess up so badly in management.
