Here is another book by Kiyosaki that perfectly helps you properly distinguish the differences between the four quadrants from which one can earn money(employee, Self-employed, business owner and investor). A sequel to Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Cashflow Quadrant's main message to its readers is to strive to learn how to work smart, not word hard.

For five dollars you can get a thinking that five hundred thousand dollars of education wouldn't get you. And the strange part is, the five dollar thinking is better. It's the B-quadrant thinking that makes ordinary people extraordinary. It is what transitioned me from a top-notch high-stress consultant to an easy-going profitable businessman. Does that mean I don't consult anymore? No... I do consult, but now I have a system to take care of the consulting, while I refine the system and only do what I really am passionate about.

One reading of the Cashflow Quadrant got me to understand that one must not focus so much on the product as one must on the process. Many more readings - and other readings and seminars - corroborated this and I was on my way. In my view, the B-quadrant is what spirituality calls 'abundance thinking' and you can get it most simply through this book. Can't thank Robert Kiyosaki enough!

More than likely, for anyone that has ever perused the business section of the bookstore, has spotted Robert Kiyosaki's books. Cashflow Quadrant is definitely a must read for anyone and everyone, business savvy, business minded, or not. Kiyosaki puts into perspective why people choose the work path they do, and the benefits/drawbacks from those choices, into what he calls, the Cashflow Quadrant. Kiyosaki goes through the pro's and con's of each quadrant, what can be derived from each quadrant financially, and his own suggestions of what people should consider when choosing to focus on one, or multiple areas of the quadrant. Kiyosaki delivers pragmatic suggestions of what one can do to understand/improve their debt situation, and how to assess debt on a whole...when you should or shouldn't use it.

When choosing one's occupation, a certain mindset comes with the choice rendered. Are you comfortable and find security with a linear income, trading time for money? Then you may be most suited in the E-quadrant as an employee. Are you an out of the box risk taker, after the all American dream of running your own business? Then more than likely you will find yourself most comfortable in the S-quadrant, for small business; or, you may be potentially a B-quadrant person, which covers big business, franchising, and network marketing. If your interest falls in the realms of the stock market, then the I-quadrant, investments, is for you. Whatever the case may be, Kiyosaki is able to describe the mindsets of anyone in any of these quadrants, the positives, the negatives, and what one needs to keep in mind when choosing professions that fall in one, or all of these quadrants.

Cashflow Quadrant is a great read for: anyone assessing their own work/financial situation. It's also a great resource for those wanting a better grasp on someone's business perspective, as a means to increase successful business interactions. It certainly help me when trying to get a grasp on why I was so miserable with my profession, and the steps I would need to do to correct it. It also gave my husband and myself a better framework when dealing with debt, and how it should be handled. I highly enjoyed and recommend this read to everyone. You'll read it in a day easy!
