This is a really great book for patients, caregivers, and doctors alike. The book is unflinchingly honest about the debilitating nature of fibromyalgia and other illnesses. This is rare to find, many doctors are hesitant to tell you how bad they can truly get, since not everyone suffers to the same degree. There's also much better coverage on pain medications, more than other books. The reality is, eventually we all end up on pain medications, but most books don't cover it.
