This is a very good balm for headache,cold,body pains,congestion.we like to get all the time in our home.My entire family has been using for many years.it gives a quick relief from all kinds of aches in no time.So many people use this product in a wide way.In order to breathe well and get rid of nasal blocks we use this.Even the cost of it is reliable which makes every one to have it in their homes.

I love this stuff so much. I can't help but keep it around constantly. When you're sick, there's nothing that helps better than this. I'll just rub a little of this on my chest and lay in bed. It's like magic, lol. I have learned to be more careful when I use it because it will make anything it touches smell like menthol. There's a reason why this has been around forever, it just works. Sure, taking cold pills will help, but when you need an instant relief from your cold, this is it. I love all the things that Vick puts out, but this is the original.

This is a great herbal medicine that can be used for many ailments such as cold, flu, headaches and many other pains. I have been using this balm for many years. This gives me quick relief from headache. When I get a nose block, I apply a small quantity of Vicks vapo rub on my nose and inhale its vapor keeping a small quantity of the balm in my fingers. It instantly removes my nasal blocks and gives me a great relief to breathe easily.

My son was reluctant using it when a few years ago as he felt it was a little sticky. One day when he had a nasal block in the night ha had to use it reluctantly. When he got the instant relief, he immediately became a big fan of Vicks vapo rub. Now he uses it frequently even for his leg pains when he comes back home after a tedious cricket game.

I just used it this week for my 2 year old. I hesitated at first because she is still very young. She was so miserable so I went out and bought the rub and smeared a little on her chest and back. She slept all night.

Vick's VapoRub works every time I have to use it. I swear by the stuff. Every Cold and Flu season I go out and buy it, because I know that one way or another, we are going to need it. So once again I am right. This year was pretty bad. I totally forgot the flu shots for myself and my son. So when the cold and flu season hit. We were the first ones to be affected. At the same time! We were so miserable. But all was not lost because I remembered to buy the Vick's and it was on sale. So my son and I would curl up in our beds and kept on rubbing the Vick's VapoRub in our chest for the congestion and drift of to sleep. The vapors have always been so soothing to me. The smell isn't the best but you know when you are inhaling the vapors, that in no time you will feel relief. You can feel your chest opening up. It is amazing how you feel when you have rubbed it in. My son loves it and I do too. I also have used it to relax achy joints. Like my knee that I have had problems with do to so many years of long distance running. So you can use this stuff for not only when you are ill. You can also use it for joint discomfort. Product is fabulous. Worth every penny.

Okay, I seriously, truly hated this stuff when I was a kid. I would whine and become a brat to be dealt with when I got a cold and my mom came after me with this "stinky" stuff. I hated the medicinal smell of it so much that I would run to the bathroom and wash it off. And now? I realize how stupid of me it was to do that. Because, beneath that "stinky smell," the stuff actually works.

Once you adapt to the rather strong smell of Vaporub, you'll find that it clears your stuffy nose and helps that annoying cough. I use it at night when I have the most trouble breathing through my nose during a nasty cold. I don't like to ingest a lot of medications (I had a gastric bypass so, really, I don't do very well with capsules and sugar/alcohol-laced cough medicines), so this stuff is a God-send.

The only thing I don't like about this stuff is, yeah, the smell. But you get over it once you realize it really works. And my boyfriend is completely, freakishly allergic to this stuff so I have to be sure never to use it when he's around! Other than that, I swear by it.

I agree with the first reviewer. I also thought everyone knew about and likely used Vicks Vaporub! My mom used this on me when I was a child and I still use it today. I followed her example and also use it on my children.

Vicks Vaporub is great for opening us your sinus a bit whilch cuts down on congestion and coughing. Rubbed on the chest of a person who is congested definitely makes one feel more comfortable after breathing in the Vicks VapoRub fumes. My mother in law said her generation put it on their kids feet at night instead of the chest. She and several older ladies swear my that route of using the Vicks VapoRub.

In a pinch when I have had very sore muscles I have rubbed The Vicks right onto the area with sore muscles. It works terrifically for sore muscles. It might not smell the best but it truly works!

It seems a little strange to sit here and review Vicks VapoRub, because I just assume that everyone has tried and loves this product. Chest colds, congestion, sinus problems, this pretty much covers it all. When I'm sick and miserable (and the two go hand in hand), rubbing this on my chest and below my nose seems like such a little thing to do, but helps tremendously.

If you've never used it before, the vapors can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once you're used to it you'll wonder how you got along without it. If you've got the kind of cough that makes your chest and throat hurt, this really help to sooth it. During the Winter months, we have a good supply of this on hand for both the adults and the children. My kids love it, and will come to me and ask for it specifically when they don't feel good.

Vicks VapoRub was a staple in our house when I was growing up. I can remember many nights, after we were all in bed, someone clamoring for Mom to bring the Vicks. I'm not sure if it really clears a stuffy nose as much as forces it's way though the stuffiness.
