Founder and owner of the Word Garden, Mary Anne Radmacher makes her art her life and her life an art. And in Lean Forward into Your Life she invites us to do the same. Or as she says, Lean Forward into Your Life is a commonplace book for leading an uncommon life. An uncommon life need not include fame and fortune. An uncommon life means living with intention, paying attention, celebrating, taking care of yourself, risking love. To live an uncommon life is to live large from the heart.
I have been trying to improve my way of thinking and to live a more positive life in general for the past several years. I realize that to do this one must know where they are starting and where they want to end up. This book will help you to determine your path as it has helped me. Through a variety of essays, true stories, and practices, the author will help you to realize your true life and how to get what you want out of that true life. You will realize where you are and where you are going. Opening your heart to the world is key, and the author does a good job of showing you this through example. Once you find out where you are going, you can then explore what your impact will be on this world and in your life. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is craving a major change in their lives and way of thinking. I know it affected me greatly and I learned a lot. Self-awareness has no price tag and no book is perfect for everyone, but this is a good one for sure.
