This is a great site for people who have good intentions for gardening, but just don't know where to start. Its fun and has lots of tips.

A lot of people, when they think of gardening, think of beautiful, bountiful outdoor gardens. People sometimes forget that indoor gardening is just as nice! Because I live in an apartment, I don't have a yard, but I love to have plants. This website is a great help for me to choose what plants I can grow indoors, and how to keep them healthy (and alive, which is something I'm not good at!). I also like that they recommend natural and organic processes to things.

I've been trying for years to start a small garden for years now. Every time I try I run into one or more problems that I just can't get past. If it's not a pest of some sort, or over or under watering. I just can't win. Garden Guides was finally able to help me realize where I was going wrong, and exactly what to do to fix it.

The guide to the various plants and flowers is extremely helpful. It aided me in choosing the right plants for my comfort and climate (which was part of my original problem). The section on pests was the highlight for me, though. This lists all the suspects and how to deal with them, with an emphasis on natural and organic methods, which is preferable to me. I don't like the idea of using poisons around my home. I also found the How To section full of helpful information.

I am planning to put in a garden next spring so that I can feed myself and my family real food and save some money in the process. I have never gardened before, other than flowers, and found this self-help site that tells you all you need to know about gardening. This site literally takes you from the ground up on how to plan your garden, place it, soil types, vegetables good for your area and your soil, etc. They have articles, tips, techniques, recipes, links to supplies, community posts, and much more to get your garden growing. They have a section that is specifically designed for teaching you how to deal with garden pests. This site is not just for vegetable gardening either, even though that is what I am using it for. It also will teach you all you need to know about water gardens, flower gardens, etc. Its a great resource for any gardener, beginner or not. I would recommend this site to anyone interested in any form of gardening. You will learn all you need to know.
