Karma has become a buzzword for fate—a glib way to explain away everyday calamities, disappointments, and triumphs. But, in fact, karma—which means “action” in Sanskrit—involves free will and conscious choice. It’s a fundamental concept in Eastern thought, with an underlying principle similar to the law of cause and effect: everything we say and do has consequences.

I bought this book based on how much I enjoyed the authors book "Happiness - How to find it and keep it" and found it to be a pleasant follow up with a new take on the concept of "Karma". I find the author's ability to present the topics through conversations to really carry the reader from topic to topic while addressing both sides of the issues. This is a book that I enjoyed reading cover to cover, but I also find myself reaching for it from time to time just to get a quick dose of inspiration. The discussion topics are real world issues that we've all struggled with, from manners, the human condition, and real life moral dilemmas. Through out the book there are many references to some of histories most notable philosophers and teachers. This book is for anyone looking to find new inspiration in the everyday!
