My friends gave away this book to me, in what the thought it was a joke, but what they don´t know is how useful this book has been to me. I could not be considered an expert on sex, but believe me that I know enough to think that it would be completely useless, I get chocked when I discover how much I can know...just reading.

How can you go wrong with a book that's been best selling for all around the world for a long time? When I started reading this book, I realized there is so much about sex that I did not know about. Of course, I didn't think of myself as an expert before, but now I feel more confident. The pictures are very professional and real. It helps that the pictures are there to explain different positions and help you understand the anatomy of sex. My review sounds like it's going to be boring, but it's actually pretty fascinating. I highly recommend this book.

While it might not truly contain *everything* you always wanted to know about sex, this book certainly comes closer than just about any other similar offering on the market. Without ever being sensationalistic, Reuben manages to give a thorough, well researched question and answer guide to most things sexual, from the vanilla to what much of society today might claim is taboo. The frank way in which he answers questions, and the subtle humour that infuses the book does much to keep the tone at a level where the book can be recommended to a wide variety of readers- gay, straight, from the teens to seniority, single, coupled, celibate, promiscuous and everywhere in between all of those extremes. A good guide to have around the house when you want a quick answer and google isn't handy (or likely to provide 'academic' explanations).

One caveat, though, which another reviewer already mentioned: do make sure you're getting the most up to date version of this book. A lot has changed since the sixties, and decades old information, while amusing, might not be the most reliable.

One of the most important things you need to know, is to find the most up to date edition of this book. Because information changes all the time, out of date information can be misleading. That said, this is an amazingly informative book, with a ton of information. There's information on a wide array of subjects. Some information is only touched on, so if you're looking for in depth on one topic, keep researching. But if your looking for a generous overview on many topics, this is the book for you!
