The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles by Bruce H. Lipton

With more than 100,000 copies sold of his self-published book, The Biology of Belief, Bruce Lipton teams up with Hay House to bring his message to an even wider audience. This book is a groundbreaking work in the field of new biology, and it will forever change how you think about thinking. Through the research of Dr. Lipton and other leading-edge scientists, stunning new discoveries have been made about the interaction between your mind and body and the processes by which cells receive information. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology, that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our thoughts. Using simple language, illustrations, humor, and everyday examples, he demonstrates how the new science of Epigenetics is revolutionizing our understanding of the link between mind and matter and the profound effects it has on our personal lives and the collective life of our species.

This book was fascinating for me because it combined the knowledge I've learned from Introduction to Psychology class, and my Biology 112 class as well. The cool thing about this book is that it helps to explain many of the concepts that we seem to "skim over" in class. It helps to further explain them and describe why they are important and what their function is in the human body or mind. I like how the book helps to draw connections between the mind and body, and how those connections affect our daily lives. It's very interesting to learn why we act the way we do, and what makes us do those things, biologically and psychologically. Although the book does contain some unfamiliar words to someone who has not studied very much psychology and biology, it is worded in such a way that anyone can pick it up and understand. The simplicity of the book makes it fun and interesting at the same time.

In more ways than one, this book is like opening your skull, taking out your mind and showing you how it reacts to positive thinking. The author also wrote The Secret and that seems to push this piece into the corner which is sad because this is a great book.

The books tells you that you are the pilot of your life and that you control your path. Simple enough right? Well it goes beyond that and it stimulates your spiritual energy. The book reaches into your soul to help you find what you are best at and how you can push that inner strength to achieve great things in life. The book taught me not to wait on others for my life to change and that all this time I had the power to control that. It's also easy to read and you won't find yourself bored at all.

To be honest, I prefer this book over The Secret. It's a bit more focused than The Secret which is awesome!

This is an amazing book. It challenges conventional dogma in just about every area of research.

Lipton basically gives something of a scientific explanation for how the mind and body interact; how our emotions create chemicals that then communicate with our cells, for example.

It's not too much entirely new information, although the writer takes the mind body idea further than most resources do.

I would have liked to have seen a more academic basis for some of Lipton's ideas ... like what exactly are the processes by which genes and DNA are controlled by signals outside the cell.

Overall, though, this is a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone who is curious about how our mind and bodies work together.

I was lucky enough to get one of the first run copies of this book. The Secret is and will be what he's most known for, but I believe this is a condensed version of that piece of marketing. Along the same lines as positive thinking changing the way you believe, this book is about a clinical look at why and how your body and mind reacts when you make the choice to be happy and make the choice to be positive. In a world of equal and opposite reactions, being positive pays dividends to everyone involved. It helps in job interviews, in love and relationships, and miracles DO happen when you can fully express the joy and happiness from within. Which starts with you re-evaluating where the darkness comes from and extinguishing it.

Bruce H. Lipton is a wonderful author. I feel that the success of " The Secret" has over shadowed this wonderful masterpiece. This novel grants the reader a view of searching within themselves and finding the strength to realize that we are in control of our own destiny. Each chapter takes you on a journey to look within yourself and find your strengths. It also empowers you to sieze each moment of every day to achieve your dreams.

Mr. Lipton endulges the reader in a literary " pick me up " session borderlining self improvement poetry. Mr. Lipton tops my list along with T.D Jakes and Eckhart Tolle. If you'd like to to change your perspective and your life, I urge you to read this novel.
