My name is Leo Babauta, I’m married with six kids, I live on Guam, I’m a writer and a runner and a vegetarian and I love writing Zen Habits.
Zen Habits is one of the top blogs on the Internet, and covers: achieving goals, productivity, being organized, GTD, motivation, eliminating debt, saving, getting a flat stomach, eating healthy, simplifying, living frugal, parenting, happiness, and successfully implementing good habits.
I found out about Zen Habits because of a link from another blog. Immediately, Zen Habits has become a favorite. When I'm stressed out or brainstorming ways to be more productive and organized, I'll often head over to this site for inspiration.
I like the website design a lot. It's clean and easy to read, with attractive photos to go with most of the posts. The author, Leo, posts often enough to keep things fresh but doesn't overwhelm with too many posts per day, too.
The main topics he covers are stress reduction, getting organized and productive, money management, health and simplicity. My favorite entries are the lists. Doesn't everybody love a list? Examples are "20 Ways to Eliminate Stress From Your Life" or "4 Simple Steps to Start the Exercise Habit."
In some ways, I feel Leo's focus is too broad. You could write a blog just dedicated to simplicity or just dedicated to money and time management. But, the way he writes, he manages to show how many of these topics are inter-related, so it works.
I recommend book-marking it and visiting often.
I saw this site on DIGG once, but now I read it every day. I read about a dozen blogs every day, but this is one of two sites (Seth Godin's is the other) where I constantly link to the posts. He's really helped me get more organized, and more centered. I've found that I get more done every day by doing less. One piece of advice I tell people all the time is to sort your to-do list into groups and call them projects. And then focus only on three projects. It's easier than doing them catch-as-catch-can, and it gives you a sense of accomplishment when you're done. I use that at work, around the house, and in my personal relationships. Nothing else you find in the way of advice is going to make you both more productive, and more spiritual.
This is a great website. Every entry seems to be relevant to my every day life. The best part is it's not spacey or "out there" like a lot Zen sites seem to be. It's very down to earth, with great things to help you live a calmer, more Zen type life. I keep it in my bookmarks and visit it whenever I'm having trouble keeping the peace and calm in my life.
This site is cool and simple yet very powerful and meaningful. Leo Babauta has started this website only in the year 2007. He practiced Zen habits and enjoyed the benefits of these powerful habits. You need to be cool and humble to live a healthy and happy life. You can drive away your negative thoughts easily if you practice Zen habits. You can totally come out of your laziness and start working hard and effectively.
Eventually your productivity will increase .You will learn to make your heart to work together with your mind. If you can achieve this success will come spontaneously to you. Zen habits can help you to live a happy and peaceful life. You can be free from jealous, worry, stress and negative thoughts. Your mind will become more effective and more powerful.
This site is really very useful and informative. If you want to come up in life, I suggest you to visit this site and read all the blogs in it. You may bookmark it, visit the site often, and read the new articles as well.
Zen Habits is a productivity/self improvement site. Like most of them, it aims to get you on the path to productivity, but with a zen attitude. Essentially, it focuses on no stress methods for getting things done. Which is a good thing, because a lot of productivity tips will have you running around ragged.
Anyone with a liking for the Eastern relaxed mentality, who also wants to get things done, should find a lot to love with this site. There are posts on just about everything, from home organization, simplicity, health, and even finance, all handled with the no stress attitude. I especially loved the post dealing with creating a minimalist home. The advice is very practical, and won't cost you any money (or just a small amount).
There are a lot of people commenting here, which creates a feeling of community. This is a great addition that's missing from many sites. And often the commenters have their own great tips.
I absolutely love this site! It falls under the “self improvement” category, but in contrast to it’s name, it’s not new-agey or “out there.” To the contrary, this site has really well written articles on very practical topics that I encounter on a day-to-day basis. As well there is a real element of social responsibility. There are many articles on global problems that the main stream media doesn’t always focus on and they simply outline the problem, generating awareness and what can be done to help. In this way there is a great balance to the content on Zenhabits. This is a blog site that I always leave from slightly better than when I came.
