I have battled addiction with drugs/alcohol and pain pills. It's hard to see the other side when you are tooooo drugged up to see it! Yes alcohol is a drug too. In my opinion, the worst drug available because it is so easily accessible. You see it at the gas stations, supermarkets, social events, etc.... I know I was headed for death but the Jesus stepped into intervene. You know what he told me at the hardest time of my life: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Brought a grown man to his knees in tears. Today, that simple little scripture has become the corner stone of my life. Thank You Lord for being faithful when I was not!
