Like I said earlier, I'm always interested to learn about a religion that I'm not really familiar with. What are the beliefs of Buddhism? How do they worship? What traditions do they have?

there are four great truths to Buddhism.

from wikipedia
" 1. Life as we know it ultimately is or leads to suffering (dukkha) in one way or another.
2. Suffering is caused by craving or attachments to worldly pleasures of all kinds. This is often expressed as a deluded clinging to a certain sense of existence, to selfhood, or to the things or people that we consider the cause of happiness or unhappiness.
3. Suffering ends when craving ends, when one is freed from desire. This is achieved by eliminating all delusion, thereby reaching a liberated state of Enlightenment (bodhi);
4. Reaching this liberated state is achieved by following the path laid out by the Buddha.
"

these are the basics of Buddhism. the first truth is my favorite. life is suffering.

Thanks, that's really interesting. I just know the Buddha that is around the Chinese Resturant and you'd rub it for good luck. Hmm. I'll have to read up more on this.

Desire is the cause for all worldly sorrows.That does not mean you should not have an aim in life. Here Buddha refers to detached attachment. You should do your duty with out bothering much about the outcome of it.
