Discussion: How did you meet your significant other?
Because I am in the mood for romantic/sappy stories, how did you and your husband/wife/significant other meet?
I'll start:
I was going into my senior year of high school when I first laid eyes on my husband. I was in AZ visiting my mother (lived with my dad out of state at the time), and I saw him at the church my mom went to. He was the hottest guy I had ever seen! It wasn't until 6 months later when I was visiting my mom again for Christmas that I saw him again. His mom told him that I was visiting and that he should take me out on a date. So he called me and asked me out for New Years Eve, and the connection was instant. He came up to visit me a few times when I had to go back to my dad's after Christmas vacation. After I graduated from high school, I moved to AZ to be with him. We got married a year and a half later. We have been married 4 years now and are expecting our first child.

We met in school and it was pretty uneventful. We were going out with friends for a while and that progressed into us going out by ourselves. After a bit, we started living together and then got married after a year or so. That was a long time ago and we are still together... uneventful, but still together!
I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 years now. We actually met on the internet when we were 15--we bonded over being Pearl Jam fans, of all things, haha. We flew back and forth over 1,000 miles every few months to be with each other until he moved here to go to college with me. We've been together ever since! I'm still waiting on my ring. Heh.
He was my math tutor. That's corny, I know, but true. I believe I stopped paying him after our second date.
i'm not married but I have been in a serious relationship for 7 years next month, and we are only 20 years old. I met him through a neighbor, back when I was in 8th grade I knew that my neighbor had a girlfriend so I was bored one day and I decided to instant message her and we started talking and I told her that I was Eric's neighbor and friend and she asked me if I wanted to talk to one of her friends, which was Heath who is my boyfriend now, and we started talking and didn't have much to talk about but we decided to meet but our parents didn't approve of meeting someone from online. So we never got to meet until we had friends to go with us to the movies and we could go at the same time. Well we went to the movies had our first kiss at 13 years old, and the rest is history.
I met her during a train journey from Chennai to Bangalore.It was not like a love at first sight. But we felt that we should meet again and hence exchanged mobile numbers. Now we are in love. we will get married very soon.
I don't have a story, as I'm still single. However, I'd like to share my parents story, because it's so sweet. My parents actually met at a party of a mutual friend. My mom thought my dad was hot so she made her friends "get the details". A week later, they went on their first date. This was their sophomore year of high school. They went to each others proms, and got engaged shortly after high school graduation. They then stay engaged through college, until they were both stabled. They got married after they both graduated, and have been married for 35 years!

i met mine at college. we were both in freshmen calc. after she used my test to cheat i told her she owed me a date. funny thing is we both failed that test
