Ever since the FDA actually banned all the pills that actually make you lose weight companies have been still putting out weight loss pills, but now put other things in it or load it with caffeine. Have you had any experience with them? Do the work?

My husband went to a doctor and was given those phenergan pills. Once again, this is a subject that affects everyone differently. His friends started taking this medication before him, it made them lose crazy amounts of weight. He started taking it, and it made him jittery, but he lost absolutely no weight. Some people just aren't meant for diet pills. Sometimes it's gonna take hard work without the help of any kind of medicine. That's how I did it. I worked out, hard, everyday. Drinking nothing but water. Eating fruits and veggies. It may not be the healthiest thing to do, but it worked for me. And,I lost 150 pounds super fast.

There are some pills out there that help most people I know. It curves your hunger, naturally. It's called vinegar pills. You should check into it, if you're interested in taing diet pills.

I'll look into it, but I don't know if I could take vinegar pills, just the name scares me. It reminds me of coloring easter eggs with the vinegar smell, lol.

Diet pills can be dangerous no matter what is in them. Even natural herbs have side effects and over dose limits. You're better off not using them at all.

Just drink vinegar, a couple table spoons before a meal. That one is safe. It lowers blood pressure too.

Lol, all these people telling me to do stuff with vinegar. I've never heard anything about that before and now I feel like I'm left out of something. Unless there's some kind of world conspiracy to get me to drink vinegar and look like a fool, lol.

Does vinegar really help that much. I am not a fan of vinegar at all (the smell really gets to me). But if it would help me out, I would be interested in it.

Weight loss pills work by increasing your energy level and making your body work overtime. The only problem to weight loss pills is they will make your heart work overtime as well. I used to take them myself and now I have a heart condition where my heart doesn't know the regular rate it is supposed to go. It fluctuates from one extreme high to an extreme low. One of the girls who actually introduced me to diet pills is no longer with us. She took so many of them that she had a massive heart attack while trying to open her front door. I would never recommend weight loss pills to anyone. If you want to lose weight, do it by the old fashion way... exercise and dieting.

I don't think that they work unless you pair them with diet and exercise. If you could diet and exercise without the pills, I would recommend that instead. There isn't a shortcut to success, and if there were, it would be bad for your body.

i think they COULD work, but what would be the cost? whenever i think of pills for weight, i recall the mother from requiem for a dream. scary stuff that is.

I have never tried them but I did take an anti-depressant that has a side effect of making one less hungry. I did this primarily for weight loss, rather than depression, because I did not want to take weight loss pills. I lost a little bit, but am now off them, because I didn't like the way I felt. I have lost 55 lbs with a food plan and exercising but it has taken a long time.I have to try that vinegar thing!! :)

Everything that I've read about weight loss pills says that they will normally make you lose weight initially, but if you don't change your eating and exercise habits then you will gain the weight right back. Many of the pills also have pretty nasty side effects that you need to watch out for. The ones that block fat from being absorbed by your body also give you anal leakage and recommend that you always have an extra pair of pants with you. I'm not sure that's worth dropping a few pounds.
