Jenna Jameson, a person who's done the dirty work and paid her dues, jumps from the small screen to the big screen this weekend. People talk about business and sports heroes they admire for being successes in their fields. There's just as much to admire in Jenna. Plus, she's better to look at than Carl Icahn!

In 1991, Jameson began her career as an underage stripper in Las Vegas. Today, her company, Club Jenna, grosses $30 million dollars per year. Her cut: $15 million! Pretty good business model.
Jenna went through the notorious porn industry ladder. From being paid a couple hundred dollars and having no right to her own images, to being backstabbed to having a drug addiction, to dealing with every slimy porn producer in the business.
Despite the snake pit of her humble beginnings, she's managed to climb out of those circumstance and change how business is done. Jenna is a role model to us all in this respect.
She now represents other adult actresses and has their best interests, along with hers, in mind. She's known all over the world, and this weekend she makes her legitimate box office debut in the comedy, Zombie Strippers. She called her adult career quits and now focuses on herself and her business.
I have a daughter and, believe me, the last place I ever want to see her is on the pole! However, I respect anyone who's in a bad situation, for whatever reason, and finds a way to better themselves and those around them. We praise people like this every day.
Look at Robert Downey, Jr. A decade ago, he was a complete mess and today he's the number one box office draw. His life was a mess, and we found a way to forgive and embrace him. I think, however, though that when we apply this to Ms. Jameson we will have a different reaction. What does that say about us?

Like it or not, the porn industry she represents is a multibillion dollar business. There are hundreds of reasons to despise the porn industry with how people are treated, what they do and represent.
I think that when someone goes out takes control and betters herself and her industry, that she deserves some credit. The movie studios obviously know she has star power! So go support Zombie Strippper's limited release and embrace Jenna as the ultimate scream queen!!!
Here is a link to the trailer. (Yes, Jenna is on Itunes!)
Hey, Jason, way to find something meaningful in unexpected places.
I didn't expect to get a life lesson from a porn star.
When I first started reading this post, I was kinda wondering "Where's he going with this?" but then I got the point halfway through.
It's funny how we all have preconceived notions about other people. It takes an unconventional perspective to wake us from those biases. every person is dealing with their situation in their own way, with the skills that they've got.
I say, let's vote for Jenna is the entrepreneur of the year.
She's an inspiration for everyone. And a role model for no one.
This is premature. Does she have star power in non-skin flicks? I don't think Zombie Strippers is going to be a huge box office home run.
That's not the point. She built herself up to the point where she can do a legit film. Even actors with "star power" have occasional box office poison.
Catwoman (Halle Berry)
Mary Reilly (Julia Roberts- possibly the worst English accent ever)
Hudson Hawk (Bruce Willis)
And the list goes on and on.
My, but you're a binary thinker.
