Leadership at the highest level is nothing short of beautiful! It's unmistakable, authentic, congruent. It's integrated into the mind/body/spirit of those who possess it.

And you can't fake the funk! It's just not possible. Which ties us back to the title, "You can't give what you don't have."

Why is this simple tip so effective? Because it separates authentic leaders from the rest. Let's be honest...people know in an instant whether a leader is congruent or not. And deception in leadership is a deal breaker…period.

So what do you do when you have IT, or when you are still working on IT? BE UPFRONT and HONEST either way. It’s the only way to ensure connection, rapport and long-term leadership growth.

Hey thanks Nathan. You reminded me of a wonderful book: Leadership and Self Deception. It is written by the Arbinger Institute. A wonderful book, written in story/parable format about way of being....that will ultimately affect our ability to lead.
