If you don’t make things happen,
you will work for someone who does.
If you help them make those things happen,
you will get promoted.
If you help them so much that they get promoted,
you may get promoted into their position.

If you work for someone who makes things happen
and you don’t help them to make those things happen,
you will be warned.
If you get in the way of making those things happen,
you will be fired.

It's common sense.

It's like a corporate poem. I love it!

This is fun, but it's also practical reality. Plenty of people complain about work and many complain about their management, but the fact is that people are paid to deliver results. Period. It's called work for a reason. If you deliver results, you get more responsibility. If you don't, then the responsibility will be taken away.

Well said, Mark.
