There I was, just typing along….Did I tell you I am working on my first book for publication?? It's fun and exciting and unexpected things occur. I was playing with words, making what I'd written more enticing for the general population. Or just more fun so that my wonderful agent will have a better shot at selling this particular book for this food and life coach.

I have clients who used to eat in front of the TV. Perhaps they still do only we don't talk about it any more. They know my position on the subject. It's silly to even ask, as eating in front of the TV or anything that is too distracting from the eating can set you up to eat more and eat things you might not have intended to eat. Many people pay so little attention to what they are eating in front of the television that they just mindlessly keep eating until their program ends. What a recipe for weight gain or illness. It's fun to look at words in new ways or see where the root came from and what additional meanings the word might give us. I'd just never seen television as much more than the box we watch sit-coms,news,events,commercials,etc. Then I found my self breaking the word down into tell-us-a-vision and it made so much sense of how it pacifies and numbs us by telling us what to think and feel. We get trained right out of our own visioning when we never have to do it ourselves.

Before the written word, there were story tellers who entertained and passed along wisdom to the next generation. Books can take you to places in your imagination where you might have never gone and movies made stories come alive but somewhere along the line, perhaps we have gotten more programed and less inspired. Inside of Spirit….. Perhaps it's time to make sure there is plenty of time un-plugged. Meal time is a great time to be with your food, yourself, your Spirit and your family. Paying attention to and being with the food you are consuming, will create more satisfaction and usually better choices. Create a supportive habit with your meals and it just might reward you with greater visions.
