I was the computer technician for a person who is the living, breathing, walking epitome of the word, “sour-puss.” Everything I did was wrong, even though I knew it was right. However, it is difficult to explain/decipher technical jargon and codes to someone who thinks they know everything and who is not open to suggestions. I felt stuck and didn’t know what to do. Each day was worse than the previous day until I realized that I was giving my boss too much power over my well being. I decided that no job is worth compromising my self-worth and I quit! I since have found a better job with a boss that respects me as a person.

I learned that once you know how you want to be treated, others will treat you accordingly.

Oh, yeah! Sometimes the only thing you can change about a situation is YOUR MIND!!! You were lucky to be brave enough to quit, but the most important thing I got from this blog is that you realized you were giving your boss too much power over your well being! WE are in charge of how we feel! If nothing else can change, you can change how you think about what IS. Make something good from even the worst case scenario and find a way to be happy NOW!!
