Gokhan Mutlu. Do you know this guy? Since boycotting all White House-related news 8 years ago (stress management technique- sometimes denial and repression serve a healthy purpose), I've turned to odd news items as an alternative.

Mutlu was a passenger on an overbooked Jet Blue flight from San Diego to NYC. Rather than put him on another flight, a stewardess volunteered her seat and took the "jump seat" for herself. 90 minutes later, the stewardess told Mutlu he had to spend the rest of the flight "hanging out in the bathroom" because the jump seat was "uncomfortable."

Mutlu offered to take the jump seat, but was told it's "reserved for airline personnel." This poor guy actually sat in the bathroom for the rest of the flight. He's suing Jet Blue for $2 million. We've all been subjected to airplane bathrooms. This isn't a frivolous lawsuit.

How do you handle it when life throws you a curveball? What do you do when things go down "the crapper?" (Sorry, I had to go there.)
