Ahh, the rush of falling in love (or lust). There's nothing quite like it. The brain concocts its exquisite chemical reaction of dopamine, norepinephrine and oxytocin.
However, much like a good champagne buzz, these chemicals eventually wear off. You then accept the reality of the relationship with its ups and downs or you move on, looking for the next buzz. If you're committed to the realtionship, three of the most important skills to master are communication, communication and communication - in happy and not so happy times.

PeopleJam Community Communication Tip: Listen. Don’t just listen, but also tell her that’s exactly what you’re going to do. In other words, don’t sit there and vacantly stare at her. Say the words, "I'm listening," and then repeat back what you think you heard. This is what psychologists call reflective listening.
