I was looking out the kitchen window this morning at my gravel driveway, little gravel, pinky colored. I love it. I reminds me of France. My fountain and potted herbs. And lavender and roses. And I was looking at all the little weeds, in great variety. And how it reflects how I feel. If I'm not focused and paying attention, all kinds of weeds sprout up in my mind and my life. Things get neglected. I loose focus and clarity. It's an old habit, possibly an emotional addiction...have lots going on. No wonder I am tired. And have given myself some time to not go so fast. Feels good. Thanks for the reminder. I can take tomorrow and clean the weeds. Then look out on my beautiful little piece of paradise that I've created and smile.

Marcia,

Your pointing is such a great reminder to us all. It reminds me of a favorite quote I would use when I would give tours of the gardens when I worked on an herbal farm.
"A weed is a plant whose virtue has not yet been discovered." I wonder what other virtues you will find amongst your weeds.

P.S. how is that your gravel is pink - is that a natural sediment in the stone or something you found?

Laura,
The gravel is called California Gold and I believe it comes from Palm Springs. It's a pinky gold color and comes in small sizes. I get it Bouget Bros. in Santa Monica. And as for the virtues amongst the weeds, how about tenacity!! xooxxo,m
