Give yourself about 10-15 minutes before you go on your walk, this will help your food settle. Plus it gives you just enough time to clean up the dishes.

Start the walk slowly, so there is no cramping.

Continue walk for approximately a 1/2 hour.

At first since this is new, you may feel tired after your walk, but in no time you'll notice a difference in energy level and you'll also start to notice that you'll eat less during the meal in anticipation for the walk.

A good walk after a meal really helps you digest your food more quickly. It prevents you from feeling so sluggish and it can also help you drop some excess pounds.

Usually after a meal, I'm either sitting there or lying there...I like the half-hour walk afterwards, almost like a ritual. Great way to stay in shape and also if you absolutely can't move for an hour, then you know you ate way too much. I'm going to start that one!!
